Okay, I am sorry if I step on any toes here but am curious to know something. I received an email from my mother about people who are proud of being white and how those of other ethnic background consider them to be racist if they express their pride. Every day I see things about this minority or that minority, hear about how one ethnic background is better than another. Yes I believe that there are issues between the races that stem back centuries and are grudges held because of the way people are raised. My question to you is this... Can we not just agree to be proud of being human? Proud to be a good person? How about happy that those we surround ourselves with are respectful. Does it truly matter what race, color, or creed a person is, so long as that person is respectful of all human kind? There will forever be "bad apples" that spoil the pie for every ethnic background, but overall do must we have a pride in our race that says it is over and above another? God created all people the same on the inside. It doesn't matter what color you are... if you are wounded the blood is red.
I am tired of people accusing others of being racist when they themselves are being the same. There is no one race that is better than another! There are people who are more respectful, more caring, etc. But each race has is share of the good ones and bad ones. My words??? Deal with it!!!! Stop judging people by what their color or religion is. Heck... stop judging people! (except in the courts based on hard evidence and fact) I understand that there will always be some generalized feelings about a race because of direct experiences, however that doesn't mean that You or I are better than the next person we see of that same race.
Sorry I know that I have jumped on a soap box here, but I had to let it out.
