Okay ladies, I know I've been gone for awhile, but I do have something of an inquiry for you. Rest assured I will be here to check out the results and to add my ha ha ha two bits worth in.
So, what do dragons and teddy bears have in common? Seriously now... I want to know what you think. As always I will reserve my personal take on this until the end.
You all know one dragon that has been labelled a teddy bear for years. I will be back later today to see if there is a more in depth ideal I can follow. Marie, any ideas???

So you want to know what teddy bears and dragons have in common do you??? Well my dearest PJ, here we go. Much like Vicki I have begun to research some of this and specifically the Red Iridescent Crystal Dragon.
Dragons of Chaos and Destruction represent the negative power currents necessary to dissolve problems and sweep away troublesome people. They are of very dark colours: Black, grey, pewter, iron, dark magenta, purple, reds and greens so dark that they appear black. Their wide wedge-shaped heads sit atop long necks. Their serpentine tails are either barbed or with a spiked knob on the ends. Enormous wings carry them on swift flights.
When dragons of chaos and destruction make changes and help in rituals, they do everything in a big way. They go past your limited view of happenings, straight to the heart of the problem, so be certain you can stand their help before you call on them. These dragons work with re-creation of lives, relationships, and careers; breaking of barriers; changing luck; vast changes in general; work on past lives; divination; the confining of enemies or anyone who will hinder you forward growth or movement.
Although the dragons of chaos and destruction create upheavals and complete transformations and rebirths, they are not evil. Their magick power is vital to the magician. They require as much forethought and caution as when working with Fire dragons. But if your life and plans have become static, your luck stuck in a negative mode, or circumstances or people are making you feel helpless and hopeless, then these dragons will turn the tide of events. Just be very sure that you are prepared for the drastic changes that will come.
As with many kinds of dragons, the chaos dragons are connected with death and rebirth, in fact more so than others of their species. Often, when riding the dragon in an attempt to destroy barriers and remove enemies, one finds oneself face to face with oneself - the worst enemy of all. This ride can turn into a dramatic rebirth for the magician if he is willing to accept what is being shown by the dragon. The element of water governs the western quarter of the circle. Its ruler is Naelyan (Nail-yon), who oversees the dragons of the seas, springs, lakes, ponds, and rivers. Its colour is pure blue and is cold and moist. Positive associations are: sunset, Autumn, compassion, peacefulness, forgiveness, love, intuition, calmness, peace of mind. Negative associations are: floods, rainstorms, laziness, indifference, instability, lack of emotional control and insecurity.

So, for those playing the game… Pj is the Red iridescent crystal dragon… What does the crystal stand for??? The Crystal heart of a dragon represents the everlasting strength within and ability to be whole, thriving on succeeding at whatever it desires. Crystal dragons are drawn together and bring those surrounding them to the peace within. It takes 18 human years for a dragon to age by 1. (so how old is PJ?)
The Name “dragon” comes from the Greek word for seeing “derkein”. Dragons are believed to have unusually sharp vision in the physical intellectual and psychic realms. Dragons are believed to be prophets, riddlers, guardians of temples paradises, magic and hidden treasures. They have reputations for strength, vigilance, wisdom, jealousy, and miserlieness.
Dragons are very loyal and monogamous creatures. They stick with one mate for life. They guard anything they value for all of time. Things that are taken away by death destruction or outside choice are still cherished and guarded by the dragon’s heart. The dragon is known for its wisdom and knowledge and prides itself in obtaining more.
The Dragon’s scales provide an exterior barrier that seems impenetrable by any means. However there is but one way to truly “kill” a dragon. Because of the immense amount of care and protection that a dragon gives to all of its family, friends and possessions; it takes a great pride in its heart. Remember the heart thrives on succeeding at all it does? When the heart’s treasures, whether possession or another creature; are hurt, taken, or leave, the dragon’s heart is broken. It becomes weakened by its own pain and sadness. The spirit of a dragon though strong against any enemy is weak against its own broken heart.
Now, lets talk Teddy Bears… We have seen the origin of the Teddy Bear so I won’t re post about that. I would gather that all of us at one time or another have had at least one Teddy Bear. Do you remember a certain one which you kept for many many years? Perhaps you still have it even now. Your Teddy Bear was a protector in many ways. It’s wisdom went beyond any of your friends or family because it knew each and every secret, saw things that even you did not. It kept the monsters away as you went to sleep at night, caught your tears and held your heart within its own so that the pain would be lessened even if only a little. A Teddy Bear is not something that people just hand off like a Barbie Doll, Hot Wheels car, or game boy. It has special meaning and remains in your heart for a lifetime.
Do you remember when your Teddy Bear had to have surgery? You left it somewhere and it got ripped, or maybe you sent it to the moon and it got stuck in the tree. It’s furry exterior could be ripped to shreds, and mom with her magic needle and thread could make him all better. His spirit was never crushed except by one thing… A Teddy Bear’s greatest fear is being forgotten. Because they are so committed their hearts are fragile when then are left alone. Do you remember the story The Almost Forgotten TeddyBear? There are many variations.
Teddy Bears do not hold grudges, are cuddly, forgiving, and very understanding. No matter how many times they end up at the bottom of the toy box or the back of the closet, when brought back to the forefront, their monogamous commitment shines through and is still as strong as it was before. The reaction of holding your Teddy Bear when this happens is just as miraculous and magical as the results of the dragon’s efforts. Eyes will dance, hearts will soften, there will be tears of joy, laughter from the heart, and the greatest of all—Love.
So if you put this into a human perspective: Help is only as far away as a dragon's last whiper and a Teddy Bear's everlasting hug.

"Alright you all; I had no idea this was going to be such a controversial issue. It's a simple question. Simple questions are meant to make you think, but not meant to make you overcome with unreasonable tactics or thought. They’re simply meant to make you put some thought into the matter and look outside of the box.
This is the simple answer to the simple question. Simple answer is that Teddy Bears are just that. Our beloved confidante, our super holders our constant companions, the ones that catch the tears in the middle of the night, the ones who never turn their backs on us. Teddy Bears are our TRUE lifetime companions.
Now, our friend the dragon; is a mythological creature to some, and yet to others a state of being. When I think of the creature itself, I think of majestic iridescence, strong standing against all who come forth and all that weathers it. The dragon itself is the beholder of wisdom, beholder of great treasures within. The size is immense, and within that immense framework of scales muscle and bone is the heart that stands true no matter what. Being as it’s a mythological creature, the only true way of ridding one’s self of a dragon is to take hold of that dragon and weaken its heart. You must absorb all of the secrets and knowledge within that being to break its spirit.
As for the questions what do dragons and teddy bears have in common; Dragons hold the same secrets that Teddy Bears do. The secrets of our past, the secrets of our spirit. They are symbolic to the strength of wisdom and care that any one being can hold. They share the commonality of beholding each of us within their eyes. They are strong, they are loyal, they stand their ground against all foes and beside us or in us they dwell forever.
Each of us has a dragon at heart and a teddy bear in spirit. Some may not see the reasoning behind my theory, but like all others,… it’s my theory, my opinion. As far as I am concerned the red crystal iridescent dragon is symbolic to my spirt, the dragon that dwells inside of me. I protect my young, with every ounce of courage and wisdom that that particular dragon holds near and dear to their treasures. The teddy bear is the one that wakes in the middle of the night and holds my youngest when he has fallen out of bed. Laughs at jokes that aren’t funny told by my middle child. Holds my eldest as she cries because she doesn’t understand why people would attack her mother. Listens as she dreams of her future. That’s the soft cuddly teddy bear. Show me any other and I can show you the dragon and the teddy bear. Therefore the simple answer to what do dragons and teddy bears have in common? A mother. Now if you believe that it is foolish to see both of these creatures within yourself, then you need to take a long hard look inside."

I have pondered and ponder this over the last day or two.... and you know i tried to make it simple for me.....
I think of the dragon and all I see is evil, meanness..... okay maybe the dragon holds the mysteries of our past but.... in my eyes thats why we fight the dragon ... to get rid of the past.
The cute, lovable, cuddly teddy bear I see warmth, kindness, faithfulness, and loyal. We all keep the teddy's we loved as a child.... I still have mine. it has no eyes no nose and has had one ear reattached a couple times times. The I jump to my daughter and think of what she does when shes scared... an example is this..... yesterday we went to walmart to buy another t.v for their room as the one they had was fried. We were almost at the check out when an employee came up to me and said we had to drop everything and leave cause there was a fire in the back. As soon as my daughter hear the word "fire" she was afraid and cried for her bear. And even when she's is in time out here at home she asks for her teddy for the comfort.
Honestly P I see nothing alike between the two... well maybe thats it. That they are both fighting each other.... Cause the dragon... is like the fire at walmart and the comfort is the teddy bear like it is for my daughter ... the teddy fights what the dragon makes everyone afraid of....
Those are my thoughts anyhow....
